There are two aspects that that way is better than others opinion.

First, one of the good side of refferral adoption is the company that offer opportunity would be suitable enviroment for you to work. Because your acpuaintance is familiar with your personality and the company cultur. Also, a match degree is the most important element when it comes to choosing a job. Because I have heard the survey that the human relationship in the workplace is the best factar among resgining reasons. It support the importance of culture match.

Second, you could save the time to pass the interview. of couse, there are few interviews. however, it'll less than newspaper advertisent and internet one. That is major reason that the pernonnel refferrance is the best method. 

In these reasons, the personal refferrance is the best way when you find a job.
